1/5It's a tacky, smoky bar. Not a restaurant. The music is way too ~LOUD~ to talk.
The food was lousy, and in small portions. There was nothing remotely Irish, or even English, about it. The menu online is out of date.
We ordered the so-called Shepherd's Pie ($13), which was 80% mashed potatoes, 15% vegetables, and 5% hamburger mixed with TVP (ground soy beans imitating beef) . It had no gravy whatsoever. It was served with an oily piece of Texas toast, which was the tastiest item on the table.
We also ordered the so-called Fish'n'Chips ($12), which turned out to be 3 previously-frozen Gorton’s fish fingers - about 3/4" x 3/4" x 4". The cole slaw arrived in a tiny paper cup, holding about a tablespoon, so it was just a garnish rather than a side dish. There was actually more tartar sauce than cole slaw. It was served with about 15 French Fries.
Service was horrible. There was one waitress for the entire place. She took my glass of water, and never returned with it throughout the meal. The tartar sauce had a crusty film over it, where it had been sitting too long. I can't recall ever NOT tipping, but I was sorely tempted.
