This is one of my favorite Sunday breakfast spots. The Breakfast Special comes with 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, toast and a thick slice of tomato for under $5. They also have great pancakes! Very casual. Kid-friendly. Food comes out fast!

The Melio Brothers have hit the right spot numerous of times. They are well known for the ribeye specials. The hamburgers and fries make a good to go order. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is like a little greek diner. The char bar will stand the test of time!

West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info
