The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is the oldest art museum in Texas and one of the oldest museums in the western United States. The Modern maintains one of the foremost collections of postwar art in the central United States. The museum's permanent collection consists of approximately 2,600 works of art, including paintings, sculpture, site-specific installations, drawings, prints, photographs and videotapes/discs. A new home for the Modern Art Museum, designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, opened in Fort Worth's Cultural District on December 14, 2002.

Tues hours are 10am – 7pm (Sept – Nov, Feb – Apr)
