Where is Natsumi? It's where you keep driving down Henderson and start to think, uhh, hopefully I'm on Ross soon, because this neighborhood is starting to look a little too stabby for my tastes.
However, you'll soon realize that some youngsters actually are living in those papier-mache and spit condos in this stretch of Dallas.
Natsumi, Japanese for 'cutesy restaurant name' or 'everyone's least favourite AV idol,' is a smallish yet stylish little shop with no stupid valet parking, a pleasant staff and prices you'll love.
Regardless of my new skills in writing press releases, I can say that this little strip mall of some fake fish place, a sushi joint, some italian patio and some uber lounge has all the trappings of West Village, just with less Axe body spray (for now).
Until then, we take advantage of the parking situation and enjoy a sampler of frozen yoghurt and gelato.
The yoghurt is a tart mango deal. Since I'm not crazy about the sweets overall, I endorse it as meeting the minimal acceptable standard for a dessert.
She seems genuinely impressed with the chocolate related gelato. I'll say it's not bad. As a comparator, it's about the same volume, but about a dollar cheaper than Pacugio.
In looking up the address, I saw some discussion about fro-yo. Have we really degenerated this far, people?
You get a little tiny reward card and the chance to sit in some blue tinted light, so why not?
What a summer...
