Update the GuideLive review info - it's ONE star now. Blisteringly negative review. My only visit to the place wasn't as bad as described in that, but I've had way better food and service elsewhere. Old Warsaw charges a pretty high price for mediocre.

Stan Slawick and his wife Janina, who by the way, is the ghost that haunts the Round-up Saloon on Cedar Springs (proven fact)started The Old Warsaw Restaurant. Thier legacy continues today,... this is a great place for an old-fashioned and TRUE romantic dinner.Strolling violinists, honorable and classic waiters and JUST GREAT dishes being served. Al Hedary has done a wonderful job with this place, across from The Crescent Hotel. It is a true staple of the Dallas dining scene.

We stayed at the Maple Manor Hotel this past weekend and decided to try Old Warsaw for dinner. I ordered the grilled Salmon and my friend ordered the Lamb Chop. Both dishes were really flavorful and the staff was very nice. We finished off dinner with a chocolate souffle and some coffee. This place is a must for dinner.

A landmark place to eat at for over 60 years, once located on Cedar Springs and opened around the mid 1940s, the late Cheif Patry started out here and later opened up a 5 Star Restaurant on Mckinney Ave, while he would continue to promote his old haunt,.... Today, The Old Warsaw is a treasure to be realized in old Dallas dinning...save your money folks, and try one evening of the finest on Maple..A/T,..Food observer.

We came here for a dinner presentation type thing meaning that we didn't have to pay.
The restaurant itself looks about as dated on the inside as it does on the outside. Everything looks very fancy and pretentious. The food is very unremarkable. Dessert wasn't bad.

I hope never to have the opportunity to visit again.
Business dinner. Valet takes the car.
The space? Think of a Guiccione basement.
Order salad and filet.
Get iceberg and thousand island.
Steak arrives. Cutlery does not.
Sit and look at the steak. Debate using hands.
Lack of handicap accessibility turns night into embarrassment for colleague.
Give up on cutlery. Take a few bites of cold steak. Probably was ok at some time.
Leave.
