I usually eat here at lunch or happy hour so not quite sure what the dinner scene is like. The spinach salad is my favorite and I am not really a big salad eater. Maybe the fact that I am eating it on the beautiful patio makes it taste better. I have heard they have a great bloody mary bar at brunch and plan to check that out soon.

LOVE this place. Its huge. Perfect for Happy hours, birthdays, brunch... The patio is amazing. I've been several weeks in a row and i'm looking forward to warm weather again because of that patio. The food is typical bar food but really flavorful. The Thursday Happy hour is unbeatable. Lots of TV screens and live music on Wednesday. You can literally see a TV from anywhere in the bar but they are not turned up loud.

Great Place!

I tried Ozona with a friend of mine because we were interested in trying their chicken fried steak. It was really bad. I'm not that picky (except when it comes to CFS), but I could hardly eat my dinner. Waiter was surly and rude, as was most of the staff. With all the choices around town, this place should be last on your list.

We hit up Ozona every now and then for Sunday brunch. I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s not exactly great either. It doesn’t usually take tooooo long to get a seat for brunch. I usually stick with a chicken sandwich or a burger, just to keep things simple. I think most of their wait staff are all hippie U.T. dropouts with aspirations of making it into SMU or some such. I think one of the main reasons we go is because it’s conveniently located halfway between myself and my Sunday brunch crew. I do not think I’d put this into the rotation of eating places for dinner. It is however, a decent place to sit outside when the weather is permitting.

Ozona is a great place to go and enjoy the outside patio! The patio is huge and covered by a canopy of trees.

The service is average at best, but the food and environment make up for what the staff lacks.

I really enjoy going there on Sundays during brunch and taking advantage of their Bloody Mary bar. The food is pretty good too.

The mexican platter is a win/win way to go. Choose two from a list of items and chow down. I enjoy the chili relleno that is stuffed with shrimp and topped with queso, paired with a chicken enchilada covered in homemade sour cream sauce makes for a filling lunch or dinner.

Well, I used to love this place, back when it was a cozy little dive with pretty good nosh. Now it is a cold soulless cavern, devoid of any charm whatsoever. Barman was polite, but the food sucked.Just did not have the time or inclination to complain. A stuffed or loaded baked potato should be just that, stuffed; not smeared with a weird looking chilli substitute. Will not be making the return trip, sometimes bigger is not better. R.I.P. The Old Ozona for they shot you in the vibe!

My one memory of this place is seeing Dave Alvin and The Guilty Men play a killer show there for the 30 or 40 people who showed up. It was just awesome. But that was maybe 15 years ago. I always wondered why they quit having live music. Never ate dinner there, but I remember they kept the very cold beers coming that night. And afterward Dave and the band hung out with everyone for an hour or so.

HAHAHA. Rawlins. That's funny. I only wish I was Marty Mcfly and had Dr. Emmitt Brown and the DeLorean to travel back in time to either not go to Ozona, or try this "famous" Chicken Fried Steak instead of the Ozona Burger that may as well been served in a decorative trash bag. To leave a restaurant and lack the ability to think/talk about anything other than how terrible my experience at Ozona is sad. If it's a chicken fried steak you're after...try the Star Cafe in the Fort Worth Stockyards. And if it's a good night/dinner you're after..I would recommend anywhere other than Ozona Bar and Grill. Where we're going, We don't need...Roads.

Reading jasonryleyallen Anonymous I felt like I was reading a blow by blow police report of a drunken gang rape by street thugs. 'D' says this is Dallas' best chicken fried steak. I have yet to go there, but judging by what most places call a 'CFS', I'd walk on hot coals at noon with a hangover to be assured of getting a good one. A vodka highball I can get anywhere.

TOTALLY DISGUSTING STAFF. HORRIBLE MANNERS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. FOOD IS JUNK. "CASUAL" SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH "DISGUSTING/LAZY" Easily the worst experience myself and my girlfriend have ever had at a restaurant. We were "greeted" at the door by a person wearing saggy blue jeans and a plain white baggy shirt. After sitting, a dirty looking man(our waiter, we thought), popped out of nowhere, failed to say anything to greet us, and simply said "What do ya'll want to drink?" My girlfriend ordered a Skyy Vodka and 7. After waiting for too long only for drinks, the Skyy and 7 that my gf ordered was served in a huge glass, and she couldn't taste vodka, obviously not what she ordered. Then, a disgusting looking woman(our waitress) shows up smelling from a DIRTY wineglass that she had picked up from another table...WEIRD. My first impression was that she was on something, not all "there". We discuss the drink further, she finally said she would replace it with another one. She then shows up with the drink(now wearing sun glasses, though it was raining, and after the sun went down). Time to order food (which she did not write down). I ordered a burger and fries, with a side of BBQ sauce. The food was brought by yet another "dirty" looking man, and I asked him for napkins, he said "okay"(and he never returned). The BBQ sauce was not given to me. Our random waitress finally brought it...it was KETCHUP!..NOT BBQ SAUCE?! The burger was too big to eat, soggy bun, burned though I was never asked how I wanted it cooked. The fries were undercooked and nasty. All the while, watching as the host walk by showing his underwear from his sagging jeans as we ate. And after much wait(And there's no way she was busy, because the place was dead) the bill was wrong. She double charged us for vodka, and SHE became annoyed! We then did not receive a voided ticket that showed that the credit card trans. from the first one had been taken off. And the waitress became an even bigger WITCH WITH "B". I then ask for a manager. The manager looked like an adult film star and showed ZERO managerial skills when talking to a customer. Place has potential, but fails miserably. Dirty Staff. Expect a lot....GET NOTHING IN RETURN. DO NOT GO HERE. My father owned many restaurants pretty much just like this one. He would fire(or never hire) a single employee that we saw at this place. Every male there needs to SHAVE and/or SHOWER. DRUG TESTING would do wonders for this place. The "manager" we spoke to, was a ridiculous excuse for a person in charge. He spoke without making eye contact, he failed to introduce himself, he talked down to us, etc. This place needs help.
