Please follow up with a story of these robbers at Pinnacle anasthesia. The outrageous CEO Dr. Hicks disavows responsibility for the now $10 million his acts have cost their company. I am still sore at their overcharge for out of network cost on my wifes surgery in 2005. She will be having another and they still are using the same deceptive system. Their website says they are in network, then when they bill they claim not to be in network at treble the charge, ugghh. Thanks,
a small fish,

::Tourretes perhaps?
Something like that. Cognitive dissonance.
Why in h*ll is this a thread here and what were these people thinking and how can you "Host" something in someone else's living rooms and ...and ....andand. sports drinks, bunnies and obsolete stereo components!!

So do I read this that you arranged a sizable group event - with a guest speaker -- without knowledge of the proprietor. ??
You wouldn't do this at a public building such as a Library or Rec Center because they have distinct contract requirements and usually charge for meeting rooms for such a thing. You couldn't just show up and have a meeting like this.
A private business is even less a public speaking or meeting forum. You really put the proprietor in an embarrassing no-win situation. You owe him an apology rather than a verbal thrashing --- on a completely off topic thread... thing... weird. Stopit!

Perhaps they contribute to other charities that you are not aware of and/or are forced to cut back on sponsorships due to the economy. I hardly find it reasonable to publicly slam them just because you didn't get your way. While your cause is a very important one, it is not the only one. Making judgements about people without understanding their reasons or circumstance will not help your cause. It may, in fact, hurt it.
