I took my two dogs to get flea baths at their grooming salon. Instead the staff gave them haircuts and claimed to have given them flea baths. When we got home I found that they had just as many live fleas as when I dropped them off. When I asked for a refund, the salon staff flat out called me a liar and said that I had agreed to trims for both dogs. The store manager sided with the salon employees, and so the store refunded me $12 for the flea baths, but I still had to pay for haircuts I didn't want or ask for ($126). Never again.

Petsmart has lost me as a customer for life.

This place should not even earn one star. I brought my cherished dog in there. She had a beautiful long coat that is natural to the breed..I asked for only a very light trim and no shaving....along with a bath and cleaning. When I got my dog back she looked like a dead rat! Completely shaved and all hair shaved off in front of eyes and all over body! I'm am shocked, dismayed, angered and cannot believe these people claim to have any right to work on any animal. I would recommend you consider another place for grooming..to say the least! In fact, I will never buy anything at any petsmart ever again.

As a groomer myself, it amazes me how some, not all, pet parents are so insane. After reading the comment about the dog have a "beautiful long coat" I had to laugh. That usually translates to my dog's hair is long but I never brush it and its matted but I dont dare do anything about it because the hair is long and I like it that way. So what happens it they bring it into a groomer to try and fix the mess they themselves have caused and get angered and insulted when the groomer had to tell them their only option is the shave the dog. Groomers don't have magic wands that makes matting disappear. Neglect of a dog's coat will cause it. Think of your dog's comfort. If we tugged and pulled to get even some of the matting out it will be painful for the dog but some pet parents really dont care or consider that as long as they get what they want. I just had to respond to these sladerous comments about grooming. Now mind you, I know that groomers do make mistakes and sometimes mess things up but most groomers do care about the dogs and the quality of work they are doing. It is normally people that have not taken care of their pet to begin with and get mad when others tell them things about the situation they dont want to hear that do the most screaming and complaining. Trust that.
