5/5I've never been a big Primo's fan - can't stand the crowd and parking situation. Problem solved. Lake Ray Hubbard's Primo's provides the food and festive atmosphere minus the pick-up crowd and McKinney avenue parking. I am anxious to hit the patio in the summer with some primo quesadillas and a margarita.

3/5It is a shame that the patio at this location is situated all the way towards the back of the restaurant, because it really kills the vibe when you walk in the door to find four hostesses sitting at the bar, and nobody sitting in the dining room (in all fairness, we were there on a Monday night). Fortunately, the patio was packed with a lot of energy.
Skip the queso, it reminded me of the canned stuff you get out at Tuttle Field, aka "Nachos". It was very bland. The tilapia fish tacos made up for the queso, however. They were nicely seasoned, and the sauces complimented the dish well. The service was very friendly, but a little slow. The food took forever coming out of the kitchen, however it was piping hot.
It was a shame to see the same four hosts sitting at the bar as we left the restaurant, and not a single "Thank You" or "Goodbye". I really hope they pick up their game; I would hate to see them go the way of County Line, as I know they have a ton of potential.

3/5I love the lakeside location and food, but I agree with Erik that the service needs to pick it up! Last time I was there, the waiter was so flustered he brought our food before we had silverware and forgot to even bring me my meal, so I had to wait another 10 minutes while the rest of my party ate. Fine, but when my meal came out missing the sauce that goes on the fish tacos I was pretty ticked!
The time before that the waiter technically did everything right, but was so impersonal and barely ever made eye contact.
I'll keep going there for the killer patio and food but grr the service annoys me!

2/5Have been to this location once (it is very convenient to our current abode). Food was "just OK", and once it was served, we didn't see our server for a very long time. Margaritas - didn't even finish it. Service - teenagers who acted like they sure had better things to do.

1/5Indeed the Garland location's service is horrible, I would rather travel to Dallas if they had the view..but guess I cant have it all my way uhhhh? I dont want to down mouth the place cause I do support it once in a blue moon but they have to pick upi the service, thats half the reason we dine..I say hire older more mature servers and bartenders, not the ones who want to party with the guest and their besties that arrive and put them through some kind of service training..and to be honest with you HIRE new management..thats where the problem bakes n the cookies (servers) crumble!

2/5I've been to this Primos on many occasions, never been a big fan but this Saturday takes the cake. After meeting up there with friends, I was presented a $116 tab, of which I was responsible for $33. Because some members of my party had left, the server put ALL the drinks on my tab and refused to let us leave without the bill being paid. Complained to management, they suggested I find new friends. Last time I ever go...not the first time I've heard of this happening there either. Stay away, plenty of fun to be had elsewhere.

3/5Cool location on the lake but service aws lacking, almost non existent at first. Food was above average/good and just a little on the pricey side for tex mex. The fajita soup was delicious and the chicken fajitas were good along with fresh avocado/guacomole. Will be back at a less busy time.

4/5I went to primos just last week with my family (party of 12) and it was exceptionally better than previous times! Our server, Haley, went above and beyond to keep our needy group happy, she even suggested the fish tacos which are my new favorite dish! This place has a great view, awesome happy hour, fast service, and quality food. Keep up the good work guys!!!
