5/5Just had lunch at this place a few hours ago, on a whim (was on my way to buy a metal detector, which is totally unrelated to the restaurant), and was severely impressed. The decor is old-school, with different levels and huge, nearly-empty rooms.
The food? I don't know Vietnamese, but we ordered three dishes and each one was great. We had a fried rice combo with squid, Vietnamese sausage and shrimp that was terrific. Our second dish was some soy chicken on rice that was pretty good... despite my unfair bias against any and all soy products, the fake chicken was nevertheless pretty tasty. The best dish was the seasoned beef on rice noodle cakes.
The over-the-top service was a welcome change to most of the non-Japanese restaurants in the area, and the sauces they provide on the side range from sweet fish sauce to sinus-blasting chili powders that make wasabi feel like jell-o pudding.
Great service, food, and nothing we had was over $12... very nice experience.

4/5I went there for a special occasion with a Vietnamese friend. Everything was outstanding. I wish I knew the name of the dishes, but the six course dinner was planned ahead.
The salad we started with was out of this world with shredded shrimp and chicken and a variety of shredded vegetables and herbs. Next we made out own spring rolls. Hard round rice paper was brought to the table. You would dip it in hot water and fill it with various meats that are cooking on a hot grill in the middle of the table. They also brought plates of short, cigar-shaped pieces covered in oil-soaked leaves. They look quite a bit like Dolmas, but is filled with sausage and grilled. A bit greasy, but very tasty. Also had a whole fried fish that was amazing - although we were all too full at this point to truly enjoy. The next dish was a seafood hot pot soup. Delicious, but barely had room to eat it. Dessert was a tasty but unusual pineapple jelly-type cake.
This is quite a big place - I think it used to be a TGI Friday's. We were unfortunately the only people seated in the restaurant the whole time we were there.
