Once upon a time this land used to belong to the Cole family, who owned a lot of Dallas acres and land, while they had a log cabin built not to far from this place..., then they sold the land to the City of Dallas and it became a park, while it became the offical Lee Park in the 1930s,... F.D.R was there to give the event its homage and dedication...Lee Park has been many things over the decade's, while it is one thing for sure today, it is apart of the old North Dallas by Turtle Creek until then... A/T,.. One time swimmer of Lee Park.
