3/5I feel guilty when I eat here because Rockfish is a focus-group created chain. Still, it's not bad for the money and there isn't much else in Mockingbird Station that's any good. They do basic fish and they do it decently. You know what to expect and you get it. I do have one big complaint, last time I was there I ordered a frozen margarita and it clearly came from a blender. Hey Rockfish, this is Texas! Buy a frozen margarita machine!

4/5ok, this is pretty much the only place my husband and i have eaten in the mockingbird station area. we really try not to eat around here at all, because the vibe just isn't us, but rockfish is a solid, reliable choice. we almost always opt for the comfort of fish 'n' chips, and i also enjoy the jalapeno cream soup. everything's hot and fresh, and the fish is very tasty; never mushy. when we brought my sister, she flipped for the side of green beans they brought her. i know, it sounds like a weird thing to go crazy for, but they were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, you know, so they're still a little snappy. yum.
service has never disappointed here. i always feel for my server at a restaurant, because they nearly have to just bring me my own pitcher of diet coke. the guys here have always been on the ball with everything, and i appreciate it. i also appreciate having a choice for dinner in this trendier/ritzier area away from home that allows us to afford our movie tickets afterward at the angelika next door.
