3/5The décor and atmosphere were pretty good. They have a decent wine list ranging from the bottle for the average drinker, to having several bottles on the higher end. Lots of dark wood in this place, and I think it’d be pretty fun for a happy hour meet up. We went there on a Monday night and there were only a few reservations available, and when we got there at 7:30pm, the bar was already full. The bread appetizers were tasty, if you’ve got a table of 6 or more, I’d recommend getting two of these. Evidently, nothing on the menu is over 475 calories, so for those that are really counting the calories or are health conscious, you might want to give it a whirl. Overall, I think the dishes were ok. I had the pork tenderloin in corn polenta with spinach. The pork tenderloin was cooked to medium as ordered, but the polenta just seemed a bit soggy. I think they could have done a better seasoning on the tenderloin, considering that it wasn’t paired with a sauce. Another diner I was with had the filet, who came to the same conclusion… it wasn’t bad per se… it just didn’t have a big depth of flavor that you’re used to at the restaurants where calories don’t count. Desserts were the small shot glass style things, they were tasty but how much can you really enjoy it considering that it’s so small? I’ll have to say that the wait staff was impeccable and was really attentive. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here again, but if I was in the neighborhood, I wouldn’t mind giving it another go.
