The South Dallas Cultural Center, a multi-purpose arts facility in South Dallas, was developed by the city of Dallas to serve the African American artistic community. This $1.5 million, 18,000 square-foot facility is located diagonally across from the Smirnoff Music Centre at Fair Park.
The South Dallas Cultural Center's facility features a 100-seat black box theater, a visual arts gallery, studios for dance, two-dimensional arts, ceramics, printmaking, and photography. The Center also has a full service digital recording studio and an education program in digital recording technology for youths and adults.
