5/5Taverna is a great restaurant with good food and enjoyable ambiance. I have eaten here at least a dozen times and have never bee disappointed with my food. When in doubt, go with one of the specials of the day. I have had beef tenderloin, mahi mahi, a risotto special and all have been superb. Off the regular menu, the straw and hay pasta is excellent as well as the gorgonzola and pear. Wines by the glass or by bottle are affordable and the overall atmosphere feels genuine.
In addition to their dinner menu, they also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays with $5 bottomless mimosas or bellinis.

5/5Great location in a walkable neighborhood. Excellent food - especially the specials (had a great fish a few weeks ago, really can't go wrong ordering the specials). The appetizers are very good, had calamari and brushetta recently.
The wine selection is very good and the waiters are helpful and knowledgeable with selections.

5/5This by far is my favorite Italian place. Service is always great, even when the place is packed. The Taverna Foccocia is the best hidden treasure on the menu...

4/5What's not to love about Taverna?!
Always stick with the specials though!
Lobster raviloi was perfect as well as the porcini crusted pork chop (ordered med/rare).
See and be seen!
