It's not Philly but its good enough. Probably the best cheesesteaks in town, although there isn't a whole lot of competition. I like the one with chicken (sacrilege, I know) and I add extra mushrooms. A good spot for lunch, even if it can be crowded. I do miss the old Uptown location where Zaza is now.

Sorry, JR. Texadelphia for all! Down with Philly, up with Dallas!

x*x - have you ANY idea how hard it is to rally a mindless vigilante mob with honest free-thinkers in the midst. Sheesh!

Just like I've had bad tex-mex in Dallas, I've had bad cheesesteaks in Philly.

In all fairness, I'm local and have had cheesesteaks in multiple locations in Philly and in Dallas and let's just say that Dallas needs to stick to Tex-Mex. The closest to a real cheesesteak you'll get in Dallas is Fred's but it's still not quite like the real thing.

Texadelphia really isn't even as good as Fred's.

Very good. Local abuse we can tolerate. So can we get some salsa reviews from this Yankee while we're at it? ;o)

Actually, Jason, ecg0792's email addy suggests a local affiliation, so we'll presume that he's got some experience with Texadelphia. And that the Cheez Whiz they put on sandwiches in Philly has done some sort of damage to his faculties.

The only good thing about drive-bys is splattering their windshields with rotting eggs. I'm gonna ask that if this low review posting isn't a local IP that it does NOT belong in a restaurant review... of a place I really really like.

Hello from Philadelphia, my dear Texans. I would like to clear up a common misconception about the elusive cheese steak. Contrary to popular belief, you are not actually consuming cheese steaks, but rather steak-ums on a glorified hot dog roll with molten lava on top. An honest cheese steak consists of the following: a.)thin sliced rib eye b.)amoroso bread c.)fried onions d.)double boiled cheese (must be slid onto steak sandwich with long wooden stick). I can only hope now that this information is available to the public, the degradation done to the beloved cheese steak will cease, and order will be restored. Also, don't even try to copy our soft pretzels or pizza fries, if the pathetic excuse for cheese steaks I've had in the town is an indication of your culinary prowess.
