Kirk:

*"Is there a way to show that Tin Star (or other departed restaurants) has closed?"*

Yes-- You'll see the closed notation on this listing now. That's not typed in-- that's the result of a "defunct" checkbox in our database.

Tin Star was marked closed back when it closed, but there was some confusion on what we do when something new enters the space. Our process is to make that an entirely new place, but since most such processes are still codified only in the cobwebs of our minds, we slipped up and provided you with a Christmas day mystery to solve while we were all making merry.

Just up the block, The Cape is also apparently closed.

Chris Curotolo, says:

Ok guys, the problem has been corrected. We've changed this back to Tin Star and created a new page for the new Mooyah Burgers here...

http://www.pegasusnews.com/places/moo...

This will keep the old reviews on the Tin Star page and allow a fresh page for any future Mooyah comments.

In general, we try to create new pages for new places that open in the same location as a place that no longer exists, but this one slipped through the cracks. Thanks for the heads up.

Kirk, you're exactly correct. The elves will right this tomorrow.

DC's review probably was aimed at Tin Star, and the Tin Star information didn't get deleted when Mooyah took over the Tin Star space. The "cuisines"listed above still say this is a TexMex restaurant. Ah, the perils of databases.

I think DC's comment must apply to another review - Mooyah serves burgers, fries and shakes. No alcohol, no Tex-Mex.

Plenty of room inside and out. Order cafeteria style and seat yourself. Get your own condiments and cutlery.

The menu offers 'edgy' tex mex whatever by giving you the opportunity to have a buffalo chicken taco or a grilled veggie taco. Super salty is the key to this place.

Drinks are at the Bud level.

The staff seem friendly enough.

Ok if you're too hung over to think of anyplace else and you can't drive to Cuba Libre.
