After reading all the reviews, I decided to try it for lunch today ANYWAY. Gristle burger ought to be the name of the place. The 5 beer $15. bucket was the best part.

Very unimpressed with our trip to this cute and glossy little order-at-the-counter-pretend-you're-in-a-beach-community burger place.
Onion rings/fries are overpriced for tiny portions, but you wouldn't want a bigger portion because it's all so greasy you'd get a tummy ache anyway! Avoid the 'everything fried' appetizer platter like the plague. I LIKE unhealthy fried food and yet I couldn't eat any more of it than anybody else at our table. The burger was a burger - met standards but not great.
I'll stick to Del's when I want a burger in Richardson.

I've been to the Twisted downtown more than a couple times. I was happy to see the Richardson spot because it's closer to our office.
Unfortunately, the new location is off to a rough start. The person at the til seemed a bit inexperienced. They got my order wrong, partly from the noise, I guess. The food was only OK-- there's a sign on the door that they're hiring cooks now. The vibe was definitely off from the downtown location-- it feels too modern, definitely more polished than the downtown location, so that their brand doesn't fit their decor in Richardson.
Still a bit pricey, so that overall, the Richardson location, as it stands, won't be a regular for me. Maybe I'll try again in a month or so.
