Your listing is incorrect in that the West End Pub is the only legally smoke friendly eatery in the West End.

Thanks for the correction, I just called and confirmed that the West End Pub does indeed allow smoking. We will fix our listing.

5/5I have known Bob Allen for years and he has always provided great service. Whether it is hosting a chili cook off in his restaurant, or having him cater food for my events at El Centro, fair prices and excellent service can't be beat.

4/5If we didn't own our own place downtown, I'd be at "The Pub" much more often.
I've known Bob, Mark, and Earl for well over twenty years. We here at Pearl aren't ashamed to say we've taken many cues from The West End Pub when it comes to customer service. They are a top-notch establishment with great food, a great bar, and a professional staff.
Try their sausage plate for lunch with a cold beer- Man, great stuff.
I wish you continued success Bob. You do good work.

One time I accidentally called Mark, Earl. I think it scarred him for life.

4/5Yes it has been there a few years, and the years went on by, while the West End is not to be compared to Deep Elm, this is a favorite haunt of mine, and when I worked for Dallas County, while the nice things is.... it is still there...A.T.. West End Tourist.

4/5Tried this place out on account of the Yosts approving and it's a good spot. Issue was parking, which we've come to find out is free at the <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=1801%20North%20Lamar%20Street%2C%20Dallas%2C%20TX">very near</a> <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/places/cafe-rembrandt/#search">Rembrandt</a>...it's a toss-up, imo.
However, Rembrandt's apparent burlesque shows would probably get my business on the Saturdays they're happening. =p I say apparent b/c we were under the impression they occur 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month...but didn't see it this past Saturday (the 1st). Passed right by West End Pub on the way...
