wink2003,

Can't find any additional information regarding this concert. My guess is that they listed it on their calendar and then dropped it shortly thereafter. Sorry for the confusion. We'll keep you posted if we receive any additional information.

OTB is back and better than ever. The room has been completely remodeled with all new monitors and a great staff. Open seven days from 11:00 AM until the last race comes off. This very well may be after 1:00 AM. Come on out and bet the ponies from .10 cent supers to as high as you can tolerate.

As a matter of fact, I took a trip to WinStar this afternoon for the poker room and was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of tables, I only had to wait about 15 minutes for an easy-going 1-2 NL table. No smoking in the poker room was nice. All the dealers were friendly enough, and most of the patrons at my table were amicably removed from their money.

Wait staff was available for drink orders, although I didn't have need for it on this day. I suspect service would have been more than adequate if I had felt the urge to indulge in some drinks.

I'm not a fan of electronic gambling, so I can't comment much on that other than it was a little smoky and seemed a little cheesy, but nothing more so than I would expect. Just my observation from the quick walk-through on the way to the poker room.

If you want to play a little poker in a comfortable, no-frills place close to home - I would certainly recommend WinStar. I will definitely go back.

momison, there is no off-track betting at Winstar. You can find off track betting at Lone Star Park: http://www.pegasusnews.com/places/lon...

The problem with this place is that they will not reveal the payback on the slots.Shreveport boasts the 97% payback .this place no one knows.Or they are too ashamed to say. They are not regulated at all so they can set them at whatever they want. Also if you get comps at all they have a terrible staff ,they do not get back to you, everyone drops the ball.wHEN THE MACHINES BREAK YOU CAN NOT FIND PEOPLE TO FIX THEM,AND ALOT REMAIN BROKE FOR DAYS.The game tables also charge you a percent on every hand you play,it makes it so you really can not win very much because of this. They want to play like the big boys but they are really Rinky Dink

One of the best Poker Rooms this side of Vegas. Forty + tables. Lounge, two sets of restrooms, snack bar, all INSIDE the poker room.

Very disappointing! Slots take cash or player card. A lot of problems with card readers, had to retry often, just plain broken on many machines, very frustrating. Lots of machines but very little variety, very obvious which machines were popular...couldn't get to them. No waitresses in sight. No help on the floor, assistance lights were ignored. Gilt statues and circus animals felt like a cheap attempt at glitz. Would rather see that money put into staff and maintenance. Overall, stinky, dirty, unkempt feel. However, the food was very good, the shuttle was great, and the motel was fine. Will not return.

TANYA TUCKER'S CONCERT WAS THE GREATEST YOU HAVE EVER HAD. SHE IS A UNIQUE PERFORMER AND SHE HAD THE AUDIENCE CAPTIVATED THROUGHOUT THE SHOW. SHE HAS A MAGNIFICENT VOICE AND TALENT THAT CAN NEVER BE REPLACED. HER DAUGHTER PRESLEY ALSO HAS A GREAT VOICE. THE DRIVE FROM SHREVEPORT, LA. WAS WELL WORTH IT TO SEE TANYA PERFORM. I WILL GLADLY MAKE THE DRIVE AGAIN THE NEXT TIME TANYA APPEARS THERE. KATHY GOSS
