The Haggard Library is a 40,000 square foot facility featuring sunken courtyards to provide north light on both the main floor and the lower level. When the library opened in 1989, the 20,000 square foot main floor accommodated the entire adult, children's, reference and periodical collections along with a program room that seated 100. In 1996, the 20,000 square foot lower level was finished and expanded the public services area which currently houses the adult reference and periodicals collections.
