Imagine my surprise when I came upon this blog. After my wife and I had enjoyed a wonderful meal on Valentine's day, I had wanted to research this restaurant. I was actually sitting in the back dining area where this man had been sitting with his party of 10-15. This man loudly complained about everything from the minute he and his party arrived. I have never seen a grown man act so incredibly rude and become infantile when he did not get his way. He popped up constantly after every perceived infraction, embarrassing himself and everyone in his party. My wife and I noticed other diners shaking their heads in disbelief. This restaurant is wonderful and the food is outstanding. We are seriously considering having our daughter's engagement party here this fall. The food is fresh and the service is old school (old like us I suppose). Don't believe the previous complaint. That particular unattractive gentleman should be ashamed and is not someone one would ever wish to host - the server appeared to be nearly in tears by the end of the evening! We had prime rib and salmon and it was great - also try the tomato/mozzarella salad - homemade basil dressing. Great carrot cake too. We will be back as this is close to the Firewheel area where we live.

Ye Shire should close their doors, over-priced poor food and even poorer service. My Valentine’s Day party of ten made our reservation well in advance, hoping for a special dining experience. Unfortunately upon arrival, we were seated at a table with folding chairs. The waiter explained that folding chairs were used because Ye Shire had over-booked the date and folding chairs were all that were available. We ordered drinks and waited 25 minutes; all the while the folding chairs became increasingly more uncomfortable!

We had to seek out the manager to ask for help and he was eating food, with his fingers, in the open kitchen! We asked for “Real” chairs at our table and his comment was, “The folding chairs were more comfortable.” It is sad that you have to demand a “comfortable chair” at these prices!

Once our meals were served, over half were not cooked to specifications. One of our guests requested asparagus on the side and was informed that asparagus came with only ONE MEAL that night and was not available as a substitution!

Multiple requests to speak to the manager or owner were ignored! And last but no least, the owner’s wife was sent to tell us that, “We were being ridiculous to ask for a side dish of asparagus”, flipped her hair and huffed away!

DEFINITELY NOT the place to impress a date or group of friends! Save your money and eat elsewhere!

Humm, I found out today this place is owned by Dale Wamstad, of Del Frisco's and Three Forks fame. He has a steak in The Silver Fox across the parking lot, and owns the whole shopping center. I like Dale. I have met him a couple of times in the shopping center.

What I didn't care for was the meal I ordered- Fish and Chips. I asked the waiter what he recommended (lunch) and he said the Fish and chips were very good and a popular item with the customers. I love fish and chips, when done right. I have to say the fish was prepared well, good crust, flaky inside, but sadly tasteless. the plate was covered with what appeared to be home made potato chips, which I enjoyed, but I much prefer the more traditional "French fries" served with Fish and Chips. And the slaw was attractive with some unusual purple color, but again, lacking in any real "zing". All this for $13.00+... with iced tea, tax and tip, I was out nearly $20.00... and at lunch? I don't think so. Especially because the plate was mostly fries, and little fish- 3 small pieces, appearing to be identical in shape and size (factory made?)

I hear the Prime Rib is outstanding, but at $25 it should be.

I will give this one more time to gel. I am sure the chefs can work it out.

As for atmosphere, it is a nice looking place and the wait staff seemed very professional.

This was the most incredible dining experience my husband and I have ever had. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server Bri and her trainee Jeff were so caring to our dining needs. I would recommend this restaraunt to anyone who asked. We will definately be back.
