5/5Yutaka is my favorite sushi bar in Dallas. The food is superb and very inventive. Atmosphere is intimate and sophisticated. Service is very friendly and helpful.

5/5I ate here for the first time earlier tonight. The food was exceptional, and a great value for the quality. We had to wait forever for a table, but it was worth it.

3/5After the Dallas Observer's Mark Stuertz gave such a raving review about Yutaka (and it seems like he hates most places), I had to go.
We tried the fried baby octopus. Tasty, but VERY greasy. The Eel Crepe Roll was interesting, but I probably wouldn't order again.
The Uni was one of the best I've ever had. The Aji (Jack Makeral) was also outstanding.
I wish we had more interactions with Yutaka, but he was very quiet and unfortunately his other chef cut all of our sushi.
All the sushi was COLD. Everything was beautifully presented and fresh.
Nice pleasant atmosphere.

4/5This place is so unassuming you'd be surprised to find the best sushi in Dallas here. They clearly care about their product, its outstanding. The uni was perfect, so was the salmon sashimi. We got tempura vegetables which were so-so. Next time we'll just focus on the sushi.

5/5I ate here with a professional Japanese sushi chef who agreed with me that this is the freshest fish and best preparation in Dallas. Traditional Japanese style sushi and sashimi with a polite and efficient staff make it worth every dollar. The location isn't the easiest to find, just OFF McKinney Avenue, and they need to control those towing trucks.

5/5Our favorite sushi place in Dallas. Sashimi is generously cut and wonderful in quality, and the specials are typically inventive and worth branching out from the menu. Definitely intimate, so be prepared to wait... But it's worth it. The Kobe beef tataki is a solid starter, and the skewered baby octopus is also very tasty. Hamachi kama is divine and worth the effort to get at the meat.

4/5My favorite sushi place in Dallas!!! Its small, but comfortable. Try sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs do their thing. Specials are always amazing! I like the sashimi yellowtail with jalepeno. It is the same thing you get at Nobu, only for half the price. Everything is really fresh and well-made. The only problems are parking and having to wait for a table.
