Interview with Bruce DuBose, Director of Eurydice
Audio Interviews
Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008
by Shawn Parikh
Bruce DuBose talks about his arrival to the Dallas theatre scene and what attracted him to Undermain Theatre. Since he has been part of it for a while, I ask what attributes to its success and what niche it fills in the DFW theatre comunity.
I ask how Eurydice got chosen and what attracted him to direct it. Since it is a contemporary retelling of a myth, I ask what makes this play contemporary and how he has staged it. I ask what he wants the audience to walk away talking/thinking about and he ends be applauding his cast.
