Marianne Galloway is the founder of Risk Theater Initiative, which is presenting the premiere of Slaughterhouse 5 to Dallas, which she is also directing. I ask her about the community response to Risk getting its own theater space.
I ask her what attracted her to Slaughterhouse 5 and its reworking, and what the advantages are of bringing the world premiere to Dallas as opposed to other markets. I ask her what the challenges are of transforming this classic novel to the stage, and what she ultimately wants the audience to walk away with.
