Tim Westergren: Founder of Pandora
Pegasus News
By Mike Orren
As Cindy mentioned earlier, Tim Westergren, the founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Pandora is in town as part of a national tour to check out local music scenes and explore ways to help bring indie musicians to a larger audience.
Tim dropped by our office today and we grabbed lunch; compared notes about life as an entrepreneur; and talked about how to bring the Pandora experience to a local level. Before he left, we did a quick interview, which you can hear by clicking the link below.
Also, Tim will be having something of an open house at The Flying Tomato in Denton tomorrow evening.
One cool thing that didn't make the tape: Tim ran into Victor Cager who was in our office for an interview with Alan and Blair. Tim had caught Victor's show last night and marvelled at the fact that you could catch great Jazz in Dallas on a Monday Night and without paying a fortune.
"You could never get that in San Francisco," he said.
He was also wowed by his visit to Booker T. Washington.
Who says we don't have a strong music scene here?
