GWAR / Kingdom of Sorrow / Toxic Holocaust Only lead singer Oderus Urungus (aka Dave Brockie) has stuck around since GWAR's start 23 years ago, but the huge costumes, raunchy and obscene lyrics, and fluids spraying into the audience are sure to be on full display as the metal band makes its return to Dallas. This is one of our favorite restaurants, if not the favorite. We have been here on several occasions, and have always been impressed with the service and food.
On our last trip we both had the peppered NY strip, which came back on the rare side when we ordered medium. They promptly took the steaks back and brought them back as we ordered them. The sides, mashed potatoes and green beans, were included with our meal, not an extra charge as is so common with other high end steak restaurants. The mashed potatoes were some of the best that I've ever had. Needless to say we were happy with the steak and sides. The strip is consistently high quality, some of the best steak around.
Overall we've had nothing but good experiences here, and we'll continue to come back again and again. It's also a great place to bring guests from out of town, especially from out of state. It gives them a good "Texas" steakhouse experience.
