Another opportunity for south Dallas. Visited one Sunday morning after the tornado warning. Half the patio looked pretty much destroyed, but still a few hung over SSoL's had straggled over.
The space - not bad overall. Largely poorly painted chic, I suppose. A large partition divides the room for no particular good reason. There's not much to see outside, so it could use a few extra flares. You get to see the chef's heads, so I suppose that counts for something.
You can choose between the Bloody Mary bar and the bottomless Mimosas for your Sunday morning eye-openers (CAGE questionnaire be damned!). Snacks start with some sort of salty thing. Server couldn't really tell us what, but it was tasty and we got a second helping.
We decided on salmon salad and a burger and grilled vegetables since we couldn't think very clearly. Salmon salad had a healthy portion of fish and a rather sharp vinagrette. Not too bad overall. The burger was rather standard frozen fare, but the vegetables came off well.
The rest of the menu - reasonably priced and interesting enough. They have some dog friendly items a nice change for Dallas, but maybe a little tummy upsetting for those sensitive uptown puggles.
Worth the trip? Sure thing.
