West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. The colors are as vibrant as the flavors, I love both the sesame chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken. The food is much better than the average Asian restaurant. I like the order lines; we can order one dish for the two of us and have plenty of food and no waste! It is a very pleasant inviting dining area and the food is perfect.
