Right now this is our favorite restaurant in Dallas. Have been twice, once for restaurant week and once not. Both times were excellent. I enjoyed the free flowing menu offering a mix and match approach. Particularly enjoyed the roasted meats both times. It is expensive but a memorable experience.

Craft(Kraft)

Last Friday took in Craft after Stars game with party of 4.

Kinda did a tapas type order of: noodles with truffle oil, potatoes gratin, fries, stuffed tortellini and pot of spare rib.

Ok, so we were doing the "comfort food" thang....but no comfort came.

Truffle taste totally overwhelmed. The potatoes were Kraft from a box. The stuffed tort was about the highlight- just ok and the so called "signature" meat was served in a little black kettle, uncut, chewy, fatty and low on the root vegetables. Very awkward to cut in the kettle.... no plate was given nor did the server offer to do anything toward properly serving this dish.

Very disappointing after my experience at XYZ at the W San Francisco.

Doubt I'll be back....although I did have a very nice brunch here last year.

Today

Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer..." I have my beer drinking song ready. Do you? More info
