One of the oldest music clubs in Deep Ellum - Edie Brickell started out here in the mid-'80s -€“ Club Dada is also one of the most varied. Everything from rock to poetry to country and blues acts can be heard at Dada, along with bands who play nothing but the music of the Grateful Dead, the Beatles or the Rolling Stones. The layout of the club isn't perfect - the bar limits sight lines of the stage -€“ but if you become claustrophobic, you can always retreat to the outdoor patio.

No cover on Tuesdays.

Dada briefly closed in 2006, but was reopened by members of Hard Night's Day.

  • Wednesdays: 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Thursdays: 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Additional note-- Most of the ads say "cocktail hour" which was the language I got from Bob. We cheated a couple to "happy hour" to save some space. I'll switch 'em up. Any confusion is my fault.

I don't know if they have drink specials or not -- I specked out their ads and I intended happy hour to refer to a time of day, rather than a particular special. If that's confusing, I'll change it post-haste.

I am also exited Dada is back. I was wondering what the deal is about happy hour. I thought I was their for happy hour the other night but the waitress said they had no such thing. Then I see an ad on this site saying something about happy hour. Do they have happy hour or not???

I'm so glad Dada has re-opened, and I'm wishing them much success. However, I have a favor to ask on behalf of all of your female patrons...can someone PLEASE replace the sheer shower curtain on the stall in the women's bathroom? Seriously, it's a peeping tom's dream, and I found myself wondering if there was a hole drilled in the wall somewhere. Creepy. I know women have it easier than guys (thank god there's no such thing as a female urinal), but really, it's not that hard to find an opaque curtain (or use two curtains).
