The historic Rose Marine Theater dates back to 1918 when it opened as a movie house and has, through its history, operated under three names: The Rose, The Roseland and The Marine Theater. The theater, since the 1940s, became known for showcasing movies in Spanish. In fact, in the 1950's, acts such as Cantinflas and Infante would come through the theater to give live performances to promote upcoming movies and projects.
