FARMERS BRANCH Mercer Crossing Development on the west side of Farmers Branch, at the confluence of Interstate 635, Interstate 35 and the President George Bush Turnpike, minutes from DFW International Airport, Love Field, Downtown Dallas and North Dallas, recently added Portofino Jan. 5.
There are many office buildings in Mercer Crossing, including Hickory Center and Fenton Centre; the Laguna Vista Apartments are also located within the complex.
The new Portofino features 220 residential apartment units and four retail storefronts. The project was developed by Dallas-based Icon Partners with American Realty Investments (ARI). According to ARI Chairman, Gene Phillips, “Portofino at Mercer Crossing, has been inspired by the incredible Italian coastline of its namesake city and reflects the architecture, art and lifestyle of Italy.”
One bedroom apartments range from $1,060 - $1,165 (758 square feet - 896 square feet), two bedroom apartments range from $1,410 - $1,677 (1,113 square feet - 1,355 square feet), three bedroom apartments rent for $1,860 (1,622 square feet). Currently, there is a concession of one month free rent on a 12-month lease.
Architects Beeler, Guest, Owens Architects (BGO) have designed a luxury property with a true Italian feel including courtyards, a gazebo, Italian style garden landscaping, a resort quality swimming pool and surroundings. Some of the apartments even have beautiful canal views.
Interior design firm, Sawyer Design, has carried the Italian theme throughout the public spaces including Italian music throughout and photos and art representing the Italian countryside.
Among the many amenities at Portofino are room service from the chefs at the nearby Omni Hotel, hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, Kitchen pantry and islands, numerous built-ins, walk-in closets, wine racks, Roman panel doors and double sink vanities.
Common area amenities feature a gated parking garage, clubhouse with game tables and Wi-Fi, business center, Internet café with coffee bar, state-of-the-art fitness center with three flat screen TV’s and Wi-Fi in the pool area.
The construction company was Stanford Construction and leasing is being handled by The Grapat Group.
