Most print publications have experts picking NFL games every week: Pegasus News, however, is different, in that we have near-flawless methodology in picking teams that will actually win 100% of the time. Our prestigious panel of perfect prognosticators --Justin Smith, Chris Curotolo, Todd Maternowski and Mike Bullock-- spent the better part of the 2007 NFL season ripping the future from our crystal balls and slamming it on your tables each and every week.
As an added bonus, we had included a fifth, notoriously popular column called "Mascot War", in which we discussed which team's actual mascot would win in a pitched battle to the death in the wild.
This year's Pick Pool of Perfection was won, statistically, by longtime Pegasus News staffer Todd Maternowski, despite picking against his favorite team --the Green Bay Packers-- every single game in order to reverse-jinx them. The benefits of the Reverse Sports Jinx are already well-known to most, if not all, sports fans: but the Pick Pool consequences were to spot Smith, Curotolo and Bullock some ten games, transforming the ho-hum final weeks of the NFL season to a tense, electric battlefield of football prophesy.
The results are in, trophies awarded and egos artificially inflated: loyal Pegasus News readers can look forward to far more audio, video and even a special scratch-n-sniff version of the Pegasus Professional NFL Expert Picks in the fall of 2008.

Dear Readers, notice who writes the column. Todd Maternowski. I could easily spend time here listing how the process was tainted in smarmy boy's favor, but i am above taking cheap shots. No not really. Just too lazy to type cheap shots.
