UPDATED: Icy remnants snarl roads on busy election day

Black ice, the dark horse candidate who could shake up today's races.
A mix of snow and ice hit DFW last night, creating traffic snares all over, but particularly in the northern counties hours before polls even opened for today's actually-matters-for-once primary. Some school systems have delayed opening, adding another layer of chaos.
Meantime, the political scaremongering du jour is the notion that polls will be so crowded at the end of the day because people will be trying to get their vote and their caucus in one visit, that bottlenecking could disenfranchise the latecomers. So, by all means, go out on the icy roads post-haste!
UPDATE: The roads may be clearing up, but it seems there are a slew of complaints and frustrations across DFW at the way polling places are being handled. See comments for more explanation.

According to WFAA's election day blog (man, they're hip), voting machines are/were down at precinct 2601 in Sachse city hall. And there is apparently a long wait for Democrats in Wylie at Harrison Middle School because they were given only two voting machines. Reportedly, Republicans were given four voting machines and don't have to wait at all.

Even worse, apparently the election judge was 15 minutes late at Precinct 2507 in Rowlett and by 8 a.m. the polls were still not open and people had to go to work without voting. (Also from WFAA)
