— Diamonds Cabaret allowed a 12-year-old to dance at their club late last year. There are a whole slew of reasons authorities can shut a club down, however allowing a minor to strip is not one of them.

UPDATE: Dallas city council closed the legal loophole that allowed the club to operate and cited Diamonds in violation of other city code. Diamonds has notified the Dallas City Attorney’s Office that it is surrendering its license to operate for a period of 30 days.

This story is full of awesome, especially the part where the 6th grader couldn't make up a birthdate. How hard is it to subtract 7 years from your real birthdate?

I also hope against all hope that her dad found her while visiting said strip club.
