Interview with Debra Carter, Artistic Director of Repertory Company Theatre
Repertory Company Theatre has been around the DFW theater community for 22 years and has recently just opened up their own space, the Promenade Theatre. I got a chance to talk to Artistic Director and a founder of Repertory Company Theatre, Debra Carter, who is also directing Born Yesterday which opens this weekend.
I ask her about the founding of RCT and how it has grown and survived for 22 years in DFW.
Born Yesterday
- When: Friday, April 18, 2008, 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Promenade Theatre, 650 North Coit Road, Suite 2320, Richardson
- Cost: $12 - $20
- Age limit: 12+
She talks about what sets the company apart from other theater companies around town and what niche they provide. She also goes into detail about how their educational programs are an asset to the community.
I ask her why Born Yesterday was chosen for this season and she talks about what she really loves about this production. And as always, I ask her what she wants as a director for the audience to walk away with.
Born Yesterday runs from April 18-27 and tickets can be purchased by calling 972-690-5029.
