In the ongoing salmonella outbreaks, more than a third of which have happened in Texas, all signs seem to be pointing to salsa. The FDA has added cilantro and peppers to the list of veggies under investigation. Over 200 cases have been reported since the beginning of June, so the problem has obviously not yet been contained.

Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! This salmonella outbreak is clearly racist, as it's targeting tex-mex ingredients. Someone should do something, or perhaps yell angrily at someone.

I demand this be declared a Latino crisis and addressed immediately with funding, jobs, and cupcakes.

It's quite a shame... Pico de Gallo has now been reduced to cherry tomatoes and onions. Blech.

How do we know it's not a government plot?

Look, thinking that everything is a government plot is a sign of paranoid schizophrenia. Some things, true, are government plots - the War on Terror, net neutrality, that midget in my book club that keeps stealing my ideas, the alligators living in my air vents - but others are just meaningless coincidences.

You have alligators in your vents too??? I thought I was the only one. They seem to work their way out and into the kitchen when I'm off at work.
