Food Network's Bob Tuschman and Susie something-or-other. Here's a suggestion: Eliminate these two and you might have a watchable show.

Dallas' Lisa Garza, co-owner of Suze restaurant, made it to the finale of the The Next Food Network Star, which comes as no surprise to anyone that's endured the weekly Sunday night show up until now.

Garza delivered "good flavors" in her version of a big Las Vegas buffet and also belted out a country-type song to show she was likable. Comedian Adam reinforced his good delivery and also proved he was a good chef. Only Aaron, the hospital chef, seemed to falter, by serving up a failed comedy bit and food that did not impress.

But the show delivered an annoying F.U. to watchers by opting to not-eliminate any contestant this week. Seemingly desperate to wring out some kind of suspense, the show's trio of judges sent all three contestants on to next week's finale.

They seem to really-really want Aaron -- aka, the black guy -- to win since he's been not-only completely mediocre throughout most of the series but also was the obvious loser this week. "After seven great weeks, if the runner stumbles, do you kick him out of the race?" asked the Food Network's detestable Bob Tuschman. Duh, seriously? They've never had any trouble kicking anyone out for stumbling up until now. Eliminating people is the whole point. This show stinks.

Somebody needs to tell Bob Tuschman that he should not be on TV -- he's totally NOT photogenic.

I think the problem, as described by Tushface, is that they are all deeply flawed candidates. So I can see why they didn't want to promote two bad choices as winners, which is what the "finals" connotes. Although if this were Top Chef (the show all food reality shows must aspire to), clearly Aaron would be gone. I guess he's pretty well set up to win now.
