Arlington city council agrees to give Tom Hicks’ Glorypark $135 mil

KRLD says that Arlington's city council has agreed to ante up $135 million in bonds for Tom Hicks' Glorypark development.

The money will pay for roads, parking, and other "infrastructure" minutiae. Arlington will repay the loans with sales and property taxes plus parking fees for Cowboys games and other events at the new Cowboys stadium.

Hicks and his partners are scurrying to sell Arlington on a Victory Park-like development adjacent to the Cowboys stadium before Victory Park reveals itself to be a huge expensive boondoggle that doesn't pan out as promised.
