The Farstar is an indie rock band openly influenced by both noise and pop. The group’s songs have drawn comparisons to other bands with a modern sound, but they also contain ingredients from the 80s and 90s.
The group currently has two releases: the 2008 Back to Life E.P. co-produced by Salim Nourallah (Best Producer, Song and Artist/Dallas Observer), and 2003’s Broken Down and Wandering produced by Centro-Matic drummer Matt Pence (Best Producer/Dallas Observer). The Farstar is presently recording additional material for a future LP.
The band’s songs have been featured on various compilations, independent films and commercials, and have been aired for various radio stations and podcasts.
The group shares the stage at showcases, festivals and charity functions with diverse acts of all sizes and genres.
They were also played Pegasus News' first ever Local Music Showcase.
