West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. I am so glad I got out to see this amazingly talented comedian. He enlightens you about society and makes you fall out of your chair laughing! It was a brilliant show!
