Richardson election shockers: Slagel, Murphy, and Townsend re-elected; Hayes and Stewart ousted by Macy and Omar; Solomon wins
Very good article Andrew. IS there any change you'll be doing a voting count breakdown neighborhood to neighborhood like you did for the last election? Now who voted for who, but how many people voted in each district? - Thanks

Richardson Coalition 2009 election preview
Mike, I'm glad you said that. But then, if you hadn't posted the article I'd have had no place to post those links to two completely unbiased voter's guides.

Richardson Coalition 2009 election preview
This list was compiled by a political action committee and is bias towards candidates the founders of the Richardson Coalition have chosen because the coalition believes that they will help further the coalition's agenda. There are several falsehoods in this list. For example, the coalition wasn't around two years ago, so how could they have supported Pris Hayes and Dennis Stewart in prior elections. I urge all readers to learn everything they can before going to the polls. Don’t make your choices based on a single “Voter’s Guide” mailed out by a Political Action Committee.
Need to find information on the candidates?
The League of women voters publishes a voter’s guide which can be found here: http://lwvrichardson.org/corvg.html
Printed copies of this guide are available at the Richardson Public Library
The League of Women Voters has their 2009 candidate forum available online and on CITV. You can find it online here: http://lwvrichardson.org/corforum.html

New Richardson parking ordinance may mean fewer Richardson parties
In addition to what Andrew said, I believe another target is small houses with single car garages (or garages converted into living space) and 5 to 7 adults living there each with their own car. Drive around the D streets sometime, you'll see what I mean.
Also, if you're going to have a party, and you're worried about parking, check with your neighbors. They're not likely to call in a complaint if you ask permission to park in front of their house beforehand.

Editorial: Sexually Oriented Businesses in Richardson
I agree with this editorial. I know the council did what they could. I believe that The Richardson Coalition is trying to bring this up again right around election time to cause a fuss and get their preferred candidates back in the council in order to further their own agenda. I can't say for sure that that's true, but that's the way it comes across to me.

Richardson city officials biting off more projects than they can chew
The parks, pools, community centers, library and senior center are all such benefits to the community, that it generates a signifigant increase to the quality of life not to mention the property value of Richardson residents. I'll gladly keep paying my taxes to have these things around, even if it means people from neighboring communities use them for free. All these great things make people from other towns think of how nice it would be to live in Richardson.

Developer gives homes in Richardson Heights a thoughtful rebirth
A house on Delmont burned last summer and has been sitting abandoned ever since. I wonder if Mr. Livingston would be interested in either renovating it or more likely building something new on it's lot.
