Concert review: Dethklok and Mastodon at the House of Blues (November 11)
Yo James... U, apparently, are as quick as KT23 when it cums to spotting the irony of pigeon English, mispelt werdz, urban slang and other such ironies when commenting on the ludicrousness of PegNews writers and their defenders.
And it's Saturday in Sydney, so we don't have to lighten up.

Yo... KT23... whatchew talkin' 'bout, Willard? I'm not a paid journamalist for PegNews. Comments aren't judged by the same standard as stories posted. If I want to read grammar that sucks, I, and I suspect a whole lot mo' udders, can read elsewhere.
And, BTW, it's completely obvious by Todd's "poetic reply" that he didn't have an effin clue how/why got it wrong. Prolly tinks the saying is "I could care less" too.
Thus, as far as I'm concerned, I couldn't care less what you say next, as the defense of such poor English grammar is about the stupidest thing I've read today. IJS.

Then write a poem. Otherwise, it makes PegNews look like they need to vet the grammer capabilities of their staff a whole lot mo' bettah!

RE: "for all intensive purposes may"
No f'ing kidding! Is this a journamalism site or is it gravitating to the full bastardization of English grammer as fast as it can?
HELLO? EDITORZZ??!!!

Dallas Morning News freelancer did not realize city of Plano sold pizza
He's actually in a bubble at SMU, where he's a jounamalism prof. The DMN and new, intelligent food writing don't automatically go well together, either.

Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek spoon-feeds the media dishes from new chef Bruno Davaillon
Congrats, TG, on being being first off the starting line with this freebie review there! As they say, somewhere, better with a cyber pen than "with the weapons, citizens."
Now let me ask you this... Have you ever paid for a meal before? What did you think of it? Would you do it again? How much did you pay? Was it in loose change or small bills? If bills, did you use anything over a 5-spot? Was it in Paris or LA, and if so, why? Was the price of the meal deserved? Was the server swarthy?
Please let us know.

Eight-track exhibit at Barry Whistler Gallery in Deep Ellum plays well with music lovers
I used to copy vinyl to 8-track so that I could listed to them in my car. Not many people will remember this, but 8-track tape releases basically killed the the commercial release of music on cassette tape. Better sound (8-tracks had faster tape speed, that Dolby noise reduction on slower speed cassettes couldn't match) and often cheaper. By the time 8-tracks died, cassettes couldn't make it up and CDs were coming onto the scene.

Bowing and scraping to new chef at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, one in a series
No, DC... they have all gravitated to Samar, now that Smoke is simply smoldering. And, Worzel has them captured on a 99 buck HD Flip-cam to prove it!

Eight Dallas-area truck drivers honored for driving one million miles or more without accident
So, I'm wondering why "Eight Dallas-area truck drivers honored for driving one million miles or more without accident" is the top story in "Dining and Drinking" at 2:20 pm.
Then you get there and discover it must be because they kept the chips safe and the Doritos delivered unscathed. And chips are food. Makes good sense, Peg. Not!

Tre Amici in Dallas announces new chef, management team
Two things pop up here with this presser:
IF Danny Clopp's "undeniably contagious energy greets each customer as a life long friend" could someone please check him out on Facebook and see if the facts match the hype?
Secondly, what's "Eating is seeing, seeing is believing" supposed to telegraph? Are blind people banned from the place?

Woodall Rodgers fully closed this weekend for construction of Deck Park
If you need to get over to I-35 from the Central Expy area, do not try and do it via I-30 and the mixmaster, lest you want to wait in a 45 minute line with 90,000 other lemmings. Cut across farther north (than Woodall) via "whatever" and use Oak Lawn. Or, head farther south on I-45 (from Central) to I-20 and use it. Or use the tollway to I-35 exit.
It was quite comical sailing past them all lined up, up to a mile north of the Woodall exit on Central, last Saturday around noon. We were in the leftmost lane of Central, and even it slowed down somewhat. The 2 right lanes were essentially stopped!
It's a MESS!

Second branch of Dallas-based Burguesa Burger to open in Irving next week
I'm sure they stole the tiny donut-on-straw idea from Pot Belly, which puts a tiny cookie on their milkshake straws.
And I'm sure they stole the burger ideas from, ohhhhh, say Mexico.
It's a very original place.

Taste of Greenville Avenue event (TOGA) moving location to Granada Theater parking lot
Yes... that's the location.
It's very scenic... battered garbage cans, oil splattered driveways and a decaying fence. It's very reminiscent of a front yard on Belmont.

Keller mom Melissa d'Arabian of Next Food Network Star is no longer a Keller mom
Awesome stuff, TG with your usual snuffs of indignancy... ;-)
I'm shocked, just shocked, that a reality show has been shocked by... REALITY! The indignancy and pain of it all. Pretty soon, will we see food blogs actually talking about food instead of thanking places for free burgers, foi gras, pizza and ice cream?
Will she dump her husband now that she's up there because she's in love with Jason Mesnick and wants to get after that bi$%ch Molly for taking her reality love away?
Will we see new blogs called TheBitter renamed after TheBragger stops getting into the kitchens of famous chefs, due to too chapped, a$$-kissing lips failing him?
Will this cause DC to stop informing us of free stuff and openings? One hopes not. And, hey, Looziana hot sauce works quicker, buddy.
And finally, this has nothing to do with SideDish not getting a pre-show start interview. Read Eats... "In a written statement, the Food Network's publicist says that Melissa's husband had a job offer in Seattle, and they made a quick decision to move. The date was June 28th. She moved to Keller in 2006, and was living there when the show was filmed, up through the airing of the first 4 episodes."
So, it was obviously something much more important than that. Like "why bother."
