I am a nerd that loves the Big Bang Theory! I don't understand the complaints. Finally there is a show that includes interests such as comic books, video games and science. No one is saying that this is a documentary about nerds or reflects every nerd. It's a comedy, if circumstances were not exaggerated it wouldn't be funny. If people don't want to watch it because they don't find it funny, fine but to be offended is ridiculous. It is funny how many of my friends that were never interested in comic books, or games before are more open to them after becoming fans of the show.
