Pizza Patron restaurants receiving death threats after Mexican peso announcement
Rolando,
I don't know what article you read, but it seems like we're actually on the same page towards this issue.
Have a good one buddy...

Once again, a shameless plug, for an article I wrote, concerning this story from the perspective of a marketer...

Notice how no one is complaining about the northern states that accept Canadian currency. This is just straight up racism.

UPDATED: Pizza Patron will accept payment in Mexican pesos
I love how this "brilliant" string of publicity for Pizza Patron is only being reported on the net in English, and will probably never reach the Spanish speaking audience it was intended for. Ha!

Seattle Seahawks 21, Dallas Cowboys 20
HEY! What's with all the long faces?? It's only 85 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes, 21 seconds, until the Rangers take the field on Opening Day!
...Damn - That's a friggin' eternity : (

Bank One Center building in Dallas sells for $216 million
Blair, I think I know who the buyer is...
I was at the Cattleman's Club last night, enjoying a bourbon and branch, and overheard Dallas oil tycoon JR Ewing discussing plans to sell his East Asia oil rigs so he could afford to purchase this building as the new location for Ewing Oil.
Later that night, I spotted a depressed Cliff Barnes stumbling into Club DMX with Mr. Ewing's wife Sue Ellen. I can only assume that he was upset with the news of JR purchasing yet ANOTHER piece of the Dallas pie.

Screw you, New York Mets
Not only are the Rangers gonna pursue Zito, but they're also gonna try to land Mulder as well.
Please note: My source for this information is not very trustworthy...

New Cowboys stadium plans released
A found this particularly obnoxious statement referring to the "superluxe" fan seating that Cowboy players will pass through to get to the field.
"...in the words of Berkeley sociologist Harry Edwards, you get to see "millionaires clasping hands with billionaires.""
Can DFW get any more pretentious?
For those who are wondering where I'll be sitting... You'll be able to find me all the way up in the "$30,000 millionaire" section scratching myself and getting funnel cake and beer all over my retro Leon Lett jersey.

New Orleans Saints 42, Dallas Cowboys 17
Should I be ashamed that I don't care that the Cowboys lost, simply because I'm content that Reggie Bush managed to sneak me into the playoffs of my Yahoo fantasy league with 20+ points?
Wow... Fantasy sports REALLY CAN kill fan support. I hadn't realized its effect on me until last night.

High end grocery stores pelt DFW
It turns out that the "Texas-sized, jaw-dropping motorized shopping cart" that they're going to unleash at the store is not a Truck-A-Saurus lookalike (Pictured above).
Here's what it really looks like...
http://www.dallasobserver.com/blogs/?...
Turns out Blair wasn't that far off with his assumption on the cart's appearance. The real deal also looks like it could also potentially show up at a monster truck show just as Truck-A-Saurus does.

Updated: Three universities still in the running for Bush Library
Why must Dallas always be the centerpiece for presidential tragedies?
First there was the tragic Kennedy assassination.
And now we'll have a library that will honor the most tragic presidency in the history of human existence.

Anyone catching Malcolm Gladwell
tonighttomorrow?I'm currently reading "The Tipping Point," and I must say that it's required reading for anyone who's building a business or is interested in marketing. His explanations, on the contagiousness of ideas, make this seemingly tough concept quite accessible.
So if anyone has decided to stay home tonight and watch WWE Monday Night Raw, instead of going to the lecture, I'd love to take that ticket off your hands.

State Representative Vicki Truitt Introduces Blogger Libel Bill
Come on now Vick...
The old methods of media, you're so desperately trying maintain, no longer exists. The natural human desire to voice thoughts and opinions has finally found a medium in which it can express itself, and you're not going to be able to stop it's evolution. This bill isn't going to help eliminate slanderous activity, because it will just find another method to it's deserved madness.
There's probably some truth to the idea that we were given the right to freedom of speech because authority-hungry people, like yourself, simply gave the #@%$ up in trying to hush people's mouths. I'm willing to bet that, you too, will end up throwing in the towel just as they did.
This is a battle you're not going to win Vicki. You can't play God on this one; and that's essentially what you're trying to do in your attempt to terminate the right of people to have opinions.

Buck Showalter is an advisor for the Indians
Today, Adam Morris, of LoneStarBall.com, made a funny-because-it's-probably-true assumption on what Buck's first task will be as the Indian's advisor...
"Buck's first job is preparing a three inch thick binder with an analysis of exactly how the strip of dirt between the pitcher's mound and home needs to be laid out..."
Oooooh me, oh my... I love sarcastic Buck Showalter humor!

Bravo fellow Mustangs! Stellar performance.
HOWEVER!!!
Where's my 20-Gs for the marketing campaign I created back in 2003, that the school is still displaying across the campus!?!?!?!?
Come on SMU, at least hook an alum up with a little bit of scrilla to help pay off these massive school loans!!!
