Squatters swatted from vacant Plano home
Sounds like he was also stealing a lot of mail in addition to the trespassing. I wonder at what point it becomes identity theft?

Southern Baptists could leave Boy Scouts organization "en masse”
I could go on and list the hypocrisy of Southern Baptists (and every other Christian that eats shrimp or other shellfish, or doesn't stone their children when they're disobedient) but I'll just sit here and gloat in knowing that this religious, intolerant, bigoted nonsense will eventually go away once people realize how much BS it all is.

Well he certainly has interesting taste... And it's very uplifting to know my TVs are better than a multi-millionaires. :)

Man without hands sues Six Flags for being kicked off water ride
In general, most amusement rides have a requirement for at least one leg and one arm/hand. You need legs so the restraints properly keep you in the ride, and you need an arms in case you need to support your upper body from all the forces. Six Flags is in the right here, as bad as it may appear. Guest safety has to absolutely come first, even above political correctness.

Collin County Sheriff will not support "unconstitutional" gun legislation
Hmm, last I checked it wasn't up to local redneck sheriffs to decide what's constitutional or not. That's for the courts (and ultimately the Supreme Court) to decide.
If he's not going to do his job, fire him.

New FEMA flood maps put Plano's St. Andrew UMC between a creek and a hard place
Why don't they just pray that God won't make it flood and get rid of the insurance? Oh I forget, every time something good happens it's time to give praise to God and when bad things happen they're just shrugged as as "part of God's plan" or chance events. Makes perfect sense to me...

"Merry Christmas Bill" guards the semantics of celebration in public schools
Oh yes, this is a wonderful use of our government's time and resources. What is it with Republicans' obsession with the so-called "war on Christmas" (also known as the separation of church and state)?

Texans increasingly wish to opt-out of "smart meter" technology
I don't get it. None of the reasons for NOT wanting this seemed very good. The radio frequency one is obvious BS for anyone who knows anything about science and the increased prices seem to not be that big of a deal. How many times do people really disconnect their power?

So whatever happened to taking out a business loan? Why should anyone donate the money to a business so they can continually profit from your donation?

UPDATED: City of Allen apologizes for asking Lance Armstrong to join run
Is it really wise for a city to try so hard to attract someone who will very possibly go down as one of sports' biggest liars and frauds? I get that some of it is tongue-in-cheek but ultimately they're inviting someone who's getting hit with worse and worse news on a nearly daily basis.

Who won the vice presidential debate, Joe Biden or Paul Ryan?
How could anyone think that the timid, weak, and cowardly Ryan won that? Biden didn't act appropriately, it was just about time someone stopped the Republicans from constantly lying to the American people. To call someone out on their lying is never a bad thing.

State Fair’s pricey Chinese Lantern Festival now costs less
Still way too expensive. Should be more like $5-10 range. Charging such a significant fee says this single attraction is superior to the vast array of attractions already included in the fair's admission.

85 mph speed limit: Reckless or recklessly overdue?
A 85 mph speed limit is only dangerous because we have so many morons on the road that don't get the fact that the left lane is for passing ONLY. Speed doesn't kill, speed differentials do. And when you have idiots in the left lane going 50 and holding up traffic for miles, that's where the danger is.

Glenn Beck said treatment on American Airlines flight made him feel "subhuman"
Based on the hate-filled, vile lies spouting from his mouth on a daily basis, Glenn Beck IS subhuman... But a person in a service position still shouldn't treat him any differently based on that.

Photos: Sold-out crowd watched Allen High slay Southlake Carroll in Allen's new $60 million stadium
I've never understood the big deal about high school football, especially to the point of spending $60 million on a stadium. Don't look any further than Allen's stadium as to why America is ranked so low in math and science education.

Check out photos of Allen High's $60 million football stadium
Idiotic, plain and simple. It's really no wonder America ranks so poorly in education when we spend millions on stadiums that prepare students for what, really? Besides the 0.000001% that will eventually make it to the Pros, why is so much money wasted on sports? If we put the time and effort toward academics that this country wastes on pointless activities we wouldn't be ranked 21 in math/science.

Texas can ban Planned Parenthood from Women's Health Program
What I don't get about Republicans: they'll do anything to force a woman to have her baby but once it pops out it's on its own - they're definitely against welfare or government help. Why does the right care so much about fetuses and immediately stop caring once it's a baby?

Chick-fil-A on SMU campus not feeling the heat of debate
I think it's irrelevant who's operating the Chick-Fil-A on SMU. They're still paying franchise/licensing fees to Chick-Fil-A, a company who's money is eventually funding anti-gay groups.
Again, this whole debacle will be viewed in the future how we view the John Crow laws today. Right now people have the opportunity to get on the side that won't be viewed as pathetic bigots by history books yet are choosing to cherry-pick quotes out of a big book-o-myths instead of thinking logically about what is right. Sad really, what does that say for Americans' ability to think for themselves?

Are you serious or are you just that delusional? Defining marriage as only being between heterosexual couples doesn't deprive gays of anything? Am I just being swooshed right now?
Ahem. IT DEPRIVES GAYS OF THE RIGHT TO MARRY! And all the tax and other benefits that come along with it. Defining marriage as only between heterosexual couples is a thinly-veiled violation of the separation of church and state and you know it. It's just religious people trying to make everyone conform to their religious beliefs. Period.
The real question is why do YOU think that two people of the same sex can "destroy" the meaning of marriage. Again, nearly half of marriages end of in divorce so it's not exactly like marriage is a sacred institution anymore. Not to mention traditions are stupid and overrated. If we stuck to tradition we'd still lock retarded people in mental hospitals, enslave blacks, and confine women to the home and kitchen. At some point your thought process has to evolve here (you know, just like humans did despite what that big book-o-fables told you).

I don't have an issue with anyone's opinion, just "opinions" that actively campaign against equal rights for all US citizens. How is this excruciatingly simple point so hard to comprehend for religious people? Don't like gay people? Fine, but don't go out and protest and vote for laws that give prevent equal rights. Seriously, you're no better than the Confederacy fighting to retain slavery or men campaigning against women suffrage.
