Collin, I just spoke with Joe Scribner, and he said, "as for the growlers, our license is for on-premise consumption, so we cannot sell beer to go. We do however plan to add certain additional services in the future and filling growlers being one is a definite maybe."

UPDATED: Paleo-inspired restaurant HG Sply Co. adds lunch menu
fishfishglassfish -- I agree with you! I should have clarified that the "whole paycheck" comment wasn't meant as a criticism of HG, but rather an indictment of the American food industry. While eating out might be an indulgence, affording sustainable, humanely produced, healthful foods shouldn't be. I'm thrilled about HG -- and judging solely by the menu, I suspect guests will get what they pay for -- but the fact remains that some won't be able to budget it, even as a special treat.

First look: Cafe 43 at Bush library eviscerates all notions of "museum dining"
Thanks for the comments everyone. Quick clarification: I tried seven dishes yesterday. Of the two dishes that Cafe 43 served from the entree section, only one contained meat (fish, for that matter). I can't imagine that story would have changed drastically -- or at all -- had I sampled the arctic char, but please do try for yourself and let us know. That said, Cafe 43's emphasis on farm-to-table vegetables and fruit -- not to mention the fact that cafe is open only during lunch/brunch hours -- suggests that its generously portioned appetizers, sandwiches, and salads are inextricable from its potential success. If the quality of ingredients and thoughtful preparation from yesterday's sampling are any indication, Cafe 43 seems on the right track.

Skyline lifeline: Dallas' 5 best patios with a downtown view
Great idea about a post on Fort Worth bars, Travasaurus. Do you have any favorites or suggestions on those with the best views?

4 Lower Greenville eateries that shape the neighborhood's personality
Holy smokes. That Mother's Little Fracker/espresso idea at Mudsmith's is both brilliant and terrifying.

Thanks for adding to our list, WhoCares. I'm a big fan of Bryan Street Tavern's as well -- not to mention its spot-on beer selection.

First look: New Dallas cinema seriously upgrades dinner-and-a-movie
John, there will be a valet stand at the front by the restaurants and another one at the theater's back entrance on weekends. There's also going to be an adjacent garage.

60 beers at the Spring Craft Beer Festival: Which ones should you sample?
It's at the Richardson location at 909 Abrams Road, and the blurb reflects that now. Thanks for catching that!

The Nick and Sam's Grill will be open on March 29, and it will be like the other "grill" locations (such as the one in Park Cities) with plates around $20. (As opposed, of course, to the Uptown location, which is a bit pricier.) The Coal Vines isn't yet under construction, but is scheduled to open on Memorial Day. You'll be able to dine in either restaurant, or "order in" from both in the dine-in theater auditorium. However, the options there will be a little different, so that they're easier to handle in the dark. (For instance, rather than giant sandwiches, they'll do sliders.) Hope that helps!

Poll: How will J.R. Ewing die in Dallas?
J.R. was a figment of Bobby's imagination that allowed him (Bobby) to get away with decades of dirty dealing! (Think the infamous Dallas shower scene crossed with Fight Club)

Best and worst commercials of the Super Bowl
I really struggled with the Paul Harvey one. It was beautifully shot, and the sentiment is great, but I couldn't get over the disconnect of using a struggling farming community to sell a high-dollar item that most farmers couldn't afford (at least not new). It seemed disingenuous to "honor" them that way.

I liked Doritos' princess dad, too. It's hard to say Best/Worst so much as notably good and notably bad.
