Todd, you're one sick puppy. Did your subscription to Thinkstock expire?

Warrant issued for Darius Ewing, 18, who threw lit cigarette on puppy Justice

I pray to God quite often that I never witness anyone doing such a thing. That would be a breaking point for me, and it wouldn't be good for the perp. In fact, it would likely turn out bad for both of us, unless I landed a sympathetic Grand Jury.

People like that cannot be rehabilitated. They're vicious serial killers in training. I will not be surprised if the defense asks for a change of venue.

J.C. Penney Co. announces layoffs at Plano headquarters

A brilliant move snagging Johnson & Kramer; by far one of the smartest moves they've made in decades. My grandfather helped bring JC Penney to Texas, and although he passed away decades ago it's safe to say he would be pleased with their current direction. He was big on efforts that "clarify and simplify" while maintaining the prime directive; The Golden Rule. Their new advertising is incredibly vibrant and uncluttered. Best of the best. I think Mr. Penney would be pleased as well.

Layoffs are always received with sadness and frustration, but tough decision are necessary when a company's bottom line is suffering.

Injunction filed against Garland gun range by Rowlett

"The Garland range has been in operation for over 40 years. Why, all of a sudden..."

Couple of possibilities or both, perhaps... (1) They're a bunch of liars. None of the examples shown on TV came from that range. Some didn't even look like damage from any type of gunfire. (2) Texas has been inundated with a bunch of lousy, stinking outsiders. {What used to be called Yankees.} Most of them are wimpy pyssants that have no respect for other people's culture and values. Part of the Texas Culture is firearms, target practice, and hunting. Respect it, or get the Hell out of Texas. You will not like it here, because your crappy way of thinking will always lose out.

So, take your lousy lies and I-30, go home, or sit down and shut up.

I would like to have put it less bluntly, but that never works.

Glenn Beck's production studio to be built in former church in Southlake

A former church... that's mighty appropriate. He can continue to preach to the choir.

    {Just ignore that first incomplete post. No edit function within PNews. It was developed using Microsoft Tiny Basic; sometime during the early to mid 80s, before editing posts was allowed. Yeah, I know... lousy post before and after the edit.}

"Squatter" could end up living in $16 Flower Mound home for several years

I first learned about adverse possession back in the seventies when I took the TX licensing test for real estate sales. Always thought of it (AP) being more related to or applied to unimproved property. Plus, I seem to remember that not only did you notoriously possess the property, but you had to pay any unpaid taxes on the property; surely that account is still part of the tax-base.

I do not know the guy, but it seems like he must have had some insider information. Since a lot of the information was in the hands of a bankruptcy trustee, those public records tend to get updated into publicly accessible databases until long after the proceedings.

Some of the story doesn't jive... just sayin'.

Without utilities it's not much of a home... unless you're from the bowels of Karachi.

Dallas ISD students required to get vaccines before first day of school

That hasn't been a requirement in the past? Even eons ago (Fizzies and Super Balls were the rage) when I was attending elementary school we had to show proof of vaccinations. That wasn't too many years after the big Polio scare.

    Week of Wizardry

I love that stuff. Back when I was a kid -- the Stooges still hadn't gone to re-runs and Icky Twerp was still alive -- a Chemistry set was one of my usual Christmas gifts. My dear departed Dad was a principal at one of the high schools so he knew where to buy the beakers, flasks, Bunsens, etc, etc. Including Nitric and Hydrocloric Acid, even had a titration setup like any good lab. Fun stuff. As you can tell I survived in spite of the potential for mayhem, but an entire brigade of rubber Army men and a really cool Chemistry Lab Desk didn't; the garage escaped damage. Every year we would go to the Fair Park Museum of Nature & Science. Haven't done that in decades. Good to see that stuff is still around. Maybe I'll take the wife, then grab a deer-burger at Twisted Root.

According to GQ, Dallas residents aren't snappy dressers.

Too many outsiders coming here for employment purposes only. Sadly, they're dragging us into the fashion gutter. We must to overdress to make up for the deficit; we must raise the dress ceiling.

The X List: 15 reasons why Glenn Beck will love Dallas

    Funny stuff...

Too bad your arrogance stinks up the story. When will Dallas realize their Salad Days are over. All you have now is a bridge to nowhere and the hope for a reboot of that lousy TV show. Well, there is that hoot of a city council and all the hilarious criminal investigations. But, the Cowboys are gone and the once Big-D is now all lowercase.

What I love most about Beck moving to Westlake; it will cause many left-wingers severe angina or to keel over outright.

    Enjoy!

Hey, I've got a since of humor, but a story about gang violence warrants a little more seriousness than you offered slipping in that old "West Side Story" PR photo.
