It was so great to see everyone out here celebrating and supporting local homebrew! What a fun time! -Tait

This is Tait and I assure you this is not a marketing ploy (we are not receiving proceeds from this event, only covering the actual costs) nor is it patronizing. Dallas Diva had a great idea because she'd heard so many females say they don't like beer or feel like their significant others already knew a lot about beer (which made it more difficult to learn in their presence). Basically, that they wanted to have a different environment than the normal Dallas bar scene to learn a bit more about beer. I thought it was an excellent idea and we've set this one time apart to do so. I don't get why Brentney went out of her way with this type of article - maybe a more "shock jock" approach to get more readers? I don't know - I called and left her a voice message last week but still haven't heard a peep back. Makes me sad. The fact is, there are "exclusions" all the time in life - you must be 21 or over to even drink our beer, for example. That doesn't make them wrong, patronizing or exclusionary - there are many reasons behind events. This event is designed to help make beer more approachable for those that might not always have that opportunity so I'm surprised and saddened by the tone of this article. Either way, I hope the ladies of Dallas have an opportunity and desire to come learn about true local craft beer and aren't scared away by one reporter. It will be fun and educational all wrapped up into one!
